…but, I do enjoy myself. With or without Gesso. My old paint will have to do for now. I don`t quit grasp the concept of this art journal thing, but I am clinging to what Rhian said about everything being allowed. I just finished one page that suppose to show….Well, I am not telling….You decide what you want to see.

While waiting for next lesson I will be cleaning my windows…I think…

Thursday, and that means photo assignment in Kolettes “becoming more” class at BPS. We got this cool challenge involving pictures of the letters in our name. So…I packed my photo bag, dressed for an adventure in the wild…looking for letters to photograph.
So…I get my camera out, ready to make my scoop…and it is dead….Guess what? I forgot to put the battery back in. Walked home and put the battery in.Out again….Guess what? I had forgotten my memory card at home.Stubborn as I am, I went home…got the card and took some pictures.

The inner harbour

Maybe you need to sit down?

and enjoy the view.

Ok…those letters…Of course I forgot to bring my zoom lens. So the only letters I got tonight were these;

At least all my letters are there so I might be able to work with this. If not….I just has to do it one more time….with my battery and memory card in my camera.

… the floor in my scrap room to be…..
It took me some time to get there, but finally the room is ready to have an appointment with “the cleaning lady”.
The room doesn’t have a view in real life. I would have to have a high chair to see anything sitting down. It is not important. I can imagine anything, and the view is out there. All that is missing now is some furniture and some shelves. I am not moving my stuff out of the living room before it can be placed properly in my “new” room.

I am not doing much with the room. The place is rented, so I am not using money on this. I just have to get all this clutter out of my living room (and my kitchen). SO, wish me luck. Hopefully I will find some furniture somewhere.
Last night I lured my best friend to enter a workshop at SIS-scrap in style with me. Starting Monday, we are making an art journal. I have never done anything like that, and BM probably regretted everything when she woke up this morning. Hmm…-good for her…

SO…my brother decided that his granddaughter needed a harmonica. Of course she needs a harmonica….every little girl needs a harmonica. I know…he got a week spot. He loves this little girl …and he loves to shop. Sometime he is like one of those desperate women in the sales rack.
Who am I to judge, I am almost as bad as he is…
Cute isn’t she?

For her parents sake I hope the harmonica stays with her grandparents. This is not a nice instrument to have in your home. Envision early Sunday morning…..

No…I am sure it stays with grandpa.
And…super aunty…that being me…had to make a page of this. Because this is one of those moments I will love to nag my brother about in the years to come.

I used papers from Kaiserscrapbook. I have fallen in love them and I am so happy that the Norwegian online stores can offer this product. And I have used one of Kolette Halls powerful designs. “You make my heart smile”

….a monster….behind all the boxes….behind all the boxes…in what supposed to be a guest room.

unpacket the monster looks like this;

.
I have no idea why I would torture my self with this monster. But I got an idea why I bought this one, it must have been cheap. Anyway I think I have to wait until it is vacation time before trying this out. I will not be able to walk after using it.
Otherwise I am having a good time printing out more of Kolette Halls beautiful Quotes. They are so beautiful that I have to make something more out of this. I got to show you one more of them.

The flag raised at Lyngstad.

Here comes the parade.

Yes, looking good.

In Bud the first graders held their sign high with the headmaster Kjerstin looking proud.

While those who just finished school were just as proud and happy.

And like always, someone has to work every May 17.

We had the best day we could whish for. More than one place, Oslo included, had snow to day. What is a little cold wind compared to snow. I bet there is a lot of kids stuffed with soda and ice cream just now.
The best part of May 17 this year is that tomorrow it is SUNDAY…..

I was late in bed last night and I woke up way too early this morning. I should have gone to bed early and slept long in to the morning. That way I would have been prepared for my late shift at work. It is going to be a busy evening, the day before our national celebration of May 17. But, there is no work tomorrow though.
I have been cleaning a little and I have worked on the second part of my class at BPS. I loved our next session. Kolette gave us a lot to think about and I am going to enjoy my self working on that this weekend.
I just had to make one page before leaving for work. It is my favourite focus, baby Elin. She is having a lot of fun, high and low as always.

To day when I was looking through the photos from Sunday I was quite stunned. I had no idea that our “little Tor” could be looking so good when he sat down in a suite. I just had to make a page with this good looking guy.

The only thing that came to mind was; he was looking presidential….I guess I am a little influenced by the American presidential campaign these days.
Some time ago we found this old photo of the village where we were born and raised. My brother wanted to try and catch the same view to day in 2008. He just sent me this photo. Seem to me that he has to clear some forest before he gets the exact same view.
But, it’s not bad at all.
click on the photo and get the full size.
Otherwise I have been sorting my scrap stuff to day. I had hoped that I would get it done before the weekend, if not – I just go on until it’s done.

To days lesson at BPS is all about me. Seems like an easy task at first. Until you finished and all you have written is; what you want to be. It is a good thing we can do it all over again. All that is left now is to fill in the blanks.

At 10 pm I was outside to take a picture of this page. I just had to turn twice and take two more photos.

Not a good one, but together with the next;

..it describes what the west coast of Norway is all about in May.
Almost didn’t have time to finish. I got so caught up reading Ali Edwards posting about; words + photos in her blog. There is a lot of good advice there about how to tell your story while scrap booking. I have marked the page so I can go back and read it all over again.

…not everything goes according to the plan….

Now what….
You got two choises, you can try to fix it, or you can try and charm your self out of it….

This evening the village is having a spring cleaning. Every year, a few days before our national day, the village comes together and flushes out the winter trash. Later to night when the traffic slows down we use the car from the fire department to do the hard stuff. If there is no fire….that is.
In the garden something nice is finally showing up…
