Viva Bahia…

I want to go back….Today I slept long in to the day. I did not regret that when I looked out of the window. The rain has been pouring down all day. First I have two weeks of vacation in June and it was raining the whole time and now it is the same all over again. Well, after two weeks in the sun…who am I to complain….I feel a little down tonight. Tomorrow morning there will be no message from Tena Spenger in my mailbox. I have enjoyed her class so much and feel a little sad that it is all over.

So…what to do next….I know Stacy Julian told her class to concentrate on her “30 days Hath September” and only that. I can`t help feeling that I have done this before. I love the project; to be present in your life…..And I do capture, collect and record and I am making my September album, but I am on vacation time and it is raining outside. So I need something more. I did try to access my membershipat VG “vektklubb” today, with no luck. I need to loose a few pounds and I need to get in shape. And I need someone to tell me how to do it. Even if I do know how to do it, I need something to hold me in line. Hopefully I will get an answere to how to access my account in the morning.

With nothing to do I surfed around on the net and I discovered that Kolette and Jason Hall is teaching a year long class at Big Picture Scrapbooking next year. I did say a few months ago that I would take whatever class they were teaching. And I did say; A year….go for it. So I guess there will be no LOOM class next year. I have been wanting to do that class for some time, but I rather join Kolette and Jason. And I have to choose.

So...I rather be at Viva Bahia....

 

30 days hath September…

…I was so exited when I came down to the reception to log in this morning to read Stacy  Julian’s presentation for the third part of her Have more FUN class. I read her one hour long presentation and I love it. To get involved with life here and now….To scrapbook every day life one day at the time….for a whole month…. At first I wasn’t sure if I would do this, because I have done it before. But, so has Stacy…. I just have to think this through, maybe I want to do this another way.

This two last days have been so good. The weather, the temperature, the beach, the bar, the food, the company….just perfect. A vacation you just don’t want to end. It is a long time since we have been so blessed with perfect weather. Now it is almost over…just one more day left.

 I was the first one in the shower today, and I am spending some time in the reception waiting for Tormod and Kjellaug to get ready for dinner. I love the buffet and I have to do a serious weight program when I come home. …I am not so happy about that.

…SHOPPING…I don’t like shopping when I am on vacation. And I am talking about sun,beach,good food and funny drinks…..After staying in this place every summer for years, shopping can be a difficult thing to do. But, we need presents for the kids…We found something for baby Elin, but nothing for Kristian. Kjellaug is a smart girl, she knew what Kristian needs. So hopefully someone can buy this thing at home so we can give this gift to Kristian when we come home. I don’t think all the funny things you can buy on the streets are very healthy for the kids…

It is almost 10am and Kjellaug hit the beach a long time ago. Me…I like to have a slow morning. After some alone time in the computer room after breakfast I will join my brother for some coffee and talk on the terrace. That is my favourite time of the day. There is nothing I need to do, nowhere I need to be. I just love that….And then there is time for the beach…I could get used to spend my time like this…I think…

Another sunny day at Viva Bahia….

We had a hot day yesterday. Not too hot….just perfect for the beach. The good thing about the beaches of Majorca is the wind. Always a nice wind blowing over the beaches. That makes it perfect when you want to spend the day at the beach. I like it best at the beach in the late afternoon. That might not be the best time for tanning, but perfect when you want to have a good time.

We have only four days left and I am beginning to feel a little stressed about that. Always something more I want to do and never enough time….

I took Ashley Wren’s design school a few weeks back. She gave us a lot of requests and ideas of layouts. The first one was to make a print of our hand. I used mine on the cover page of my notebook. And I really needed that notebook. Ashley’s prompts gave a lot of ideas of pages to do. If I go into a dry spell.. all I have to do is go back to Ashley’s pdf.files and make a pick.

Monday morning at Viva Bahia…

The first week is behind us, and we have started the count down for everything coming to an end. The first week is always long and the second one just seems to disaper. I really tried to spend the whole day at the beach yesterday, but I had to give up after lunch.  Today seems to be another day with blue sky and no clouds…and it seems to be a very warm day…That is good, I like it hot…

I have been using a few minutes looking into the net shops, because I have some shopping to do when I come home. I have to admit that it was strange to see that the Christmas designs were in…already. That is early…we are still in August….and I never buy Christmas paper.

I have not decided how to spend the day yet. I don’t plan to spend the whole day at the beach. Maybe walking along the beach will be less boring. I still have one book left to read. I did plan to read Stieg Larssons third book, but I don’t think Kjellaug will finish it before going home. It does not matter, I also brought Jo Nesboe’s:The Snowman.

Here we cut things out of magazines, newspapers and what ever. I like doing this and I have been using this when making art journals.

Early Sunday morning at Viva Bahia…

That’s what happens when you go to bed way to early Saturday evening…you wake up with the birds. It is 7.30 am and I am willing to bet that I am the only one awake . Not even the birds are singing. It is me…and the guy in the reception. That is okay…he is cute…

I did count the raindrops yesterday – and I came to the number: 100. No exiting thunder or lightning. Quite boring. I love it when the thunder rolls over the icland. But we did have a rather grey day, mostly spent with the camera. The weather was perfect for taking photos.

This Sunday seems to be perfect. The sky is blue and it is no clouds to be seen. A whole day at the beach…. I am really sorry I could not spend time at The Big Wig Crop at Big Picture Scrapbooking this weekend. I have been sneaking around a little but have not been able to download anything. I am crossing my fingers that this stuff is still up when I come home.

Now…it’s finally breakfast time. I love the breakfast buffet on this hotel. I can spend a long time in there. And my cloths are getting tighter and tighter. The hotel staff has worked hard in the kitchen since our last visit, the buffet is better than ever… a lot better.

A rainy day at Viva Bahia…

 

We have been told by the weather service that today will be a cloudy and rainy day, so we are prepared for just that. We have the book to read and a plan for shopping chocolate cakes. I love the rainy days here at the hotel in Majorca. It brings a lot of thunder and lightning and the rain can be pouring down. We got the camera ready so we can try to catch the lightning.

Yesterday I was walking through all the hotels on the strip looking for cool water fontains to photograph. When you are looking for them they are not so easy to find.  But, I did find them, and the pools with fish and waterlillies. I like those.

On todays card I used a sharp objeckt to write on wet acrylic paint. Easy and fun.

For me to finish in time with the rest of my class: I have to make 15 of this cards in one day when I come home from my holiday. If I don’t finish in time I don’t think I ever will so I have every intention to catch up in one day.

Late morning at Viva Bahia…

Something about having vacation….. You want to sleep – more and more…..This has been one of this mornings. It is hard to believe, but today I was the first one out of bed and I could enjoy the early morning all to myself. That was strange. Traveling with my brother means that I am always the last one out of bed. The late start means there is a busy time in the reception area. People are coming and going and the computers are all buzzing for information by people planning their day trips.

We spent the whole day at the beach yesterday. So I am a little “pink panter” today. Kjellaug wants to spend the day in the new spa department; were there are big, deep, soft sun beds and a nice big pool. And there is an age limit – you have to be 18 to come there. Being there is like arriving in haven. Me – I just have to sneak out or – if not I might have to run around taking photos for the rest of the day. …If my brother detects me doing nothing….

It is a beautiful morning ….

m…with no clouds in sight. Yesterday we had a few hours of cloudy weather, but it turned through out the day. In the meantime my brother had me running around taking photos. I did plan to work on my lessons in my photography 101 class. My brother has decided that I have a lot to learn so he is keeping me busy.  He is sending me outside for a photo safari more then once a day. The last lesson yesterday was all about water. That should be easy around here. But, you just can not take photos of the kids in the pool. With all the perverts running around I don’t think the parents would like that. So I need to find running water. Not so much of that in this hotel, but I will look further down the street.

I loved making this card. We used clear embossing to make a background that matched the color of the card-stock. I liked it so much that I did not want to clutter it with picture and more stash.

Well, I had breakfast and it is time to go looking for water, and the beach is next up.

We have a cloudy morning…

…We woke up to a cloudy morning today. It is still a warm nice day, but it might as well be rain. So, we have to decide what to do. A cloudy day is okay. It is okay to have a day to relax, to do some reading or we could spend the whole day in the beach bar. The last choice is a good bet. But, it is still early morning, a relaxed morning. When it is cloudy ,no one is in a hurry to have breakfast. We had the breakfast buffet all to our self this morning. Now, we will have coffee,some sweets and a good talk on the terrace, before going on with our day.

Note to home:

“Manchester” was so sorry Tor wasn’t here with us. He had hoped to learn the boy some more Spanish. But, next year…….
