Friday 13 th….

June 13, 2008 · 1 Comment

…and it seems to be my lucky day.

We can see the sunshine again and that feels good. Last night was cold and wet and even I started to long for summer and sunshine. It was nice to find a new “egg” in the mail today. I found the egg that Darci told us to collect and the envelope to go with it. Can not believe how my egg fitted with what I had put in the envelope we were told to use.

When I started to do this page I thought of what Stacy said yesterday. Don’t forget your extended family and start documenting what they mean to you. So today it is all about Tor and how he always is there for me.

This was a fun page to do. I will make some more later today. Now it is time to do some cleaning before the weekend begin.

Here at the northwest coast of Norway…

June 11, 2008 · 1 Comment

…we have another wet day, while other parts of the country have the biggest fire since World War II. Maybe it is connected with the fact that the Norwegian government just voted for a new wedding law that gives same sex marriages the same rights as man and woman. Good for them.

I was so happy to wake up and find a new “egg-challenge” in my mail today, and I loved the sketch. Always had difficulties using a sketch, mostly because my page seems to take on a life of its own and end up looking nothing like the sketch. Most of the time that is good; but sometime I really would have liked that my page looked like it was supposed to.

So, I had so much fun doing Darci`s sketch. I know she is wants us to make the sketch our own, but what do I care about that. These two weeks is all about me.

I had a bit of trouble using my egg 11 with the chosen picture. So what – the brown ribbonn with the polkadots suits Tor fine.:) Here he is with baby Elin in May 2005:

I had so much fun doing this so I had to make one more. This is a resent picture of baby Kristian and grandpa. Tormod think its time for the boy to take an interest in the music – oh yes…..

-this means trouble. Someone owns her grandfather and all the instruments – so, everyone get out of the way, here comes the boss….

..mine, all mine.

….maybe not so easy to handle?

Making those pages was so fun so I had to make one with grandma , and make it a two page spread: One of these days he is going to fit those boots just fine. (Like his dad).

I am on a roll today, so I made one more. This is my grandparents with all their grandchildren. The only one missing is Beate, she was not born yet. I am sitting on my grandmothers lap, not very happy with the photo session.

That’s it for today. I am going to do the last read up on my…becoming more – class. To morrow there are a new handout so I better be ready.

That was “egg”stra fun…

June 10, 2008 · 2 Comments

I was just about finished filling my eggs when Darci posted what egg to go with what pictures today. This was really fun to do. I would never have done anything like this without being challenged to do it. This is nothing I would have thought of doing at all. And what I found in the egg could be used with the pictures I had picked. I did make a few new tags. Didn’t have any tags in the first place so making new ones was OK. (And Darci did say it was Ok to do some adjustments).

I am so exited to see what she comes up with tomorrow. What a fun thing to do!

I better start doing something useful around the house. At least it has stopped raining for a while.

Almost dinnertime…

May 25, 2008 · 1 Comment

…and I have just finished step two in my gardening project. All I got to work with was the leftovers from the shop last night, but that will have to do for now.

The little guy in the corner looks a lot happier now…

At least he is happier then he was back in January.

I made this in January during the LOAD challenge at Big Picture Scrapbooking. I am not proud of leaving him out in the cold for the whole winter, but i guess he survived.

The first weekend in May..

May 2, 2008 · 1 Comment

 I am still working on my album for my class at BPS. I had a new change of mind about the album to day. Going back and forth, and now I am back to 6×9. Not quite finished yet, but I will show you what I got.

So, here is the envelops where we are going to put the daily quotes we are getting:

I already shown you the front-page, so here are the dividers;

and the back-side of the album front;

And here comes the front;

Ok, now the easy part is done. The rest is not that easy. There are some hard questions Kolette is asking me to answer. I find it hard to wrap my head around it and to keep focused. But I will find a way. I better go and work on some of these questions.

Norway celebrates to day..

May 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

In Norway we have been celebrating to day. The Norwegian labour party and the unions have been marching the streets and had their speeches. But most people just had a day off work, to spend digging in the garden or just do nothing. At least my neighbour raised their flag to the top.

I have been spending most of the day reading trough the audio messages from my new class at Big Picture Scrapbooking (BPS). Wow, this is going to be a lot of “work”, and I am so looking forward to do it all. I did make my 6×9 album ready to go, but I am not so sure I am going with that. Reading through all this stuff to day made me want to go for a letter size album. I like to keep it organized and easy, and everything else is this size. I don’t think I will have any problem filling up the pages. So, after a change of plan I made this layout to serve as a divider in my album. The inspiration came from Cathy Z on the Simple blog to day. She did prompt us to do a layout with a self-portrait to day. Since I had one from last night I worked with that.

I may have massacred Cathy’s idea. She did tell us to put makeup on and look good. That’s me, never doing what I am told. Then it was the notebook paper to put in. Did not take me long to understand that a few pages of notebook papers would not do, so I got a nice notebook so I could write down my thoughts as I went along on this journey.

This is going to be so fun, and so challenging. .
