….came home with the mailman yesterday. She was looking good as new. Maybe the wrecking wasn’t meant to be? So…she only travelled a few miles. Maybe I ought to send her out in the world? Don’t think so, she better stay home with me. I have reach page 12 and just lost my big chance on getting my fat fingerprints all over her. My 25 year old, baby nephew Tor Helge, just came here with leftover pizza. I just put my teeth in the pizza and forgot all about my journal. Poor thing….

Ok, we will play more tomorrow.
I left work early today, determent to do some house cleaning. In order to do so I have to pass my “play room” and I never came out of there. I started to play with some paint and there was no way I was going to stop playing and start cleaning. One of these days I have to. At least I made my card number 20, only 32 to go. This is what I call fun. Learning something new everyday is fun. The lesson today was using chalks and water. With a little practice this could be a fun technique.

Late this afternoon we finaly could detect some blue sky. It was raining all morning. The tourists are getting sick of this weather. So am I.

…my Have more FUN class was no fun, I had a cold and I lacked glaze medium. It was not a happy girl preparing for bed. Just before going to bed I stopped by the message board in my 52 card pick up class. One of the girls said she had used Mod Podge instead of glaze medium and that worked. So today it all worked out fine. (And my mood was better).
First I made my card using stickers and paint. What a great idea. I am so happy for learning to do this.

Then it was all about acrylic paint and glaze medium:

And in the end I turned to the chalk. I was worried about that. I had no idea how that would work.

I also made a slide show from the wedding. I am going to upload that in a moment.

…and that makes me feel a little down. Taking a class called Have more Fun and not having fun at all makes me feel really stupid. Does that mean that I don’t get the message? Or does it mean that I had fun scrap booking before I started this class? What level of fun is it possible to reach while scrap booking? I choose to believe that Stacy means that those who take scrapping too seriously to begin with should relax and have more fun. I am taking a few steps back and just lurk in the back. I am sure Stacy Julian has some idea of where she is taking us in this class.
I have to admit that I took my journal out for a walk today. And before I could regret it I had it stamped and in the mail addressed to myself. How fun is that? I kept thinking; oh my…it is a thin line between being smart and crazy.
I finally finished uploading the wedding photos and sent them off to be printed. It took some time to do that. I almost gave up. This fine Monday has not been my day. Funday Monday did not inspire me, I did not have glaze medium so I could make my card and I have a cold.
I did make this 6×9 page. I thought it was fitting in my Becoming more album. It is hard to tell why, but it did.

…I can’t believe I am playing. Before I knew what was happening I had reach page eleven. Now I have taped it up and it is ready to go in the mail, addressed back to me. This is crazy. Tormod and Kjellaug have been here today, installing the drawers for my desk. That should help me get more organized. I sure hope so. I am still working on ordering prints from the wedding – it sure takes time.
I found this cute photo of Linda looking in on the partying Friday night. Both the bride and the groom where busy writing songs this last night, always something left to do.

So, I was thinking; what was she thinking this last night?

I also took the time to make a new card for my 52 card pick up class. Still don’t have the clear distress ink or an image stamp, but I used what I had. I had no idea we could use bleach to create this effect. It was like I could not stop bleaching, as you can see; I should have stopped sooner.
Now, I better get to work. Still have some ordering to do before a new week start. To bad the weather turned today. When I woke up today the fog had reached the shore. That is not good for the Molde Jazz Festival going on right now.

I felt inspired to make a page of my sister in law today. She made such an impression giving her speech in the wedding. While doing that she sent a LO around the table for all the guests to see. This was one of the first I made. The LO is showing a photo I took of Jan at three. I love this photo. It describes Jan so well.

Yesterday I bought a download of some digital work that Ali Edwards made. I like her clean style. I have never done anything digital before, and I don’t think I am ready for that yet. But, I thought this could be a nice frame for some wedding pages. I will make some mini albums and this could be easy and stylish.

It turned out a little dark, but it is not in real life. Here is a close up:

In my “Have more FUN” class today is Photo freedom Friday. Stacy Julian gave us a fun challenge this Friday. My page started out with a good plan – to be funny. As it often do, this one took on a life of its own. I just could not stop my self using Ali`s template. It was laying right in front of me and I just had to put it into work. This one is showing baby Elin. She just came home from kindergarten, and she is on her way to see her grandmother. (For a bath ?) I believe I have mentioned that she is attending a farming kindergarten?

I love this girl…dirty or not.

…12×12 layout this evening, and I am so proud of myself. I have never been able to do this size before. Margie Romney-Aslett`s layout “Laugh Out Loud” inspired me. It might not be the best page I ever saw, but I am still proud of it.
Photo; Baby Elin, August 2007.

And I made my 12Th card in my 52 Pick up class. Today we were supposed to use glaze pens. I did order my pens on-line, but the on-line shop was sold out and sent me something completely different. I just used a gel roller and moved forward.

…before going to bed. I am trying to get more sleep, but it is not easy going to bed when the creativity wakes up late in the evening. Having daylight at midnight do not help. And every morning I am struggling to get out of bed. Not so much scrapping tonight. I am trying to make a card for the wedding but I have lost the inspiration for that. I spent hours looking at Bibbi`s beautiful creations, but I am still not getting started. Instead I spent two hours talking with BM on the phone.
At least I made my card number five – and today we used clear buttons. Thanks to a gift from one of my on-line stores I had 6 clear buttons. They were small and they were not flat, but I got the point. Now I have to hunt for more clear buttons, because this was fun.

Because I have promised myself that I will clean my apartment. I have been able to postpone it until now. I was an early bird this morning, but still no summer in sight. Logged in to my computer and found Darci`s lesson of the day. I was done before breakfast. OK…so I am not proud of my heart. Maybe I will do this one more time, but this morning I was so motivated so I didn’t have time to be neet. Anyway, here it is: I used an old photo of Tor and Jan saying hallo to the elephant, around 1988 or 1989.

It was quit a show at the grannys house last night when baby Elin got “the poppel” in her hair. I just have to show you two more pics. Poor baby needs her mummy…

And while mummy gives comfort, daddy and baby Kristian watch, grandma get the scissors;

This had to go down on print. Fulfilling one of the challenges on Scrapping.no I used an arrow and delivered my 6Th layout for the challenge.

Now…I will go cleaning….I think…

…my cloths washed today. That’s not so bad for a lazy girl. To be honest I was up with the birds to day. I had to go in to work this morning. On my way home I stopped at the solarium to warm up my body. There is still no summer to be seen out here at the coast. I liked the idea Darci gave us today. It is kind of overwhelming to start scrapbooking all those happenings that accurse through out the year. To make one layout that highlights the holiday, the birthday…and then do what ever you want to do with the rest, when you want to. I liked that idea….
I just had to do one more page of yesterdays sketch. One of the challenges we got at Scrapping:no was to use numbers, so I used numbers to tell a little about baby Elin`s summer of 2007, with her grandmother.

Yesterday baby Elin helped her dad to get a little boat ready for sea, and today she got to try it out at sea. She loves to be in a boat.

OK…. getting the propels from “the Elias-boat” in the hair is not so FUN….

…and, the catch was nothing to laugh about……

With four of the ten challenges at Scrapping.no done, I was ready for number five. I had to use bling on that one. I just bought “say it with studs” from Prima , so it was a go. At least I thought so. …I have no idea how you do this…. Everything turned in to a ball of glue…I don`t give up easy, but I was so close… all the way. The photo is of baby Kristian last summer, such a cutie….

I am so exited to see what Darci got in store for as tomorrow.

….ice cream…

and he has the same “smart look” his father had at the same age.
I was up and about early this morning, eager to see what Darci had to challenge us with today. I just love to make this pages. The sketches are so simple, but fun to do. In my envelop I found an old photo I have wanted to do something with for a long time. It is taken 14 years ago and it is a “bad” photo in the first place so the page turned out a little foggy. The journaling says; “once we were the best of friends”.

I have so much fun doing these pages. I have a lot of old photos that I want to take care of. (And my printer stopped working last night so I don`t have any choise. The next one are from 1975, when my brother served in the military.:

Yes, those were the days. He served the winter up in the north, and every week I recived a letter from him. He did not beg for money, but clearly that was what he needed. So his much younger sister made the round to everybody, begging – so I could send him money. He hardly admits this today, but I have proof.
Tomorrow brings on a new challenge…
