This Sunday – a scraplifting Sunday…

I am cleaning. Or rather, I am having an honest moment. I need a place to work. All this stuff is making a hostile takeover and is now having completely control in my home.

So…I have started the process of emptying one room. That is almost true. I have two rooms that I don’t use and I haven’t decided yet which one to transfer in to a workspace. So…I am emptying them both.

And where do I move my stuff? Yes…into the living room. The whole apartment looks like a second hand store. I won’t be able to finish this weekend, so I am all relaxed. I complete one task and before I move on to the next I does a little scrap booking.

Because my head is busy moving things around I decided I would do some scrap lifting today.

I found this layout that Karla did. It is a hybrid layout and here is mine;

The “thing” I do my ironing on have a story. A friend and college were moving out of the house after a divorce. This was one of the few things she was allowed to bring out of her home. It belonged to her mother in law, a very special lady I had the pleasure of knowing. When my friend made another move I bought some of her stuff and this was the bonus on the buy.

It is made of wood and must be over 60 years old. It is not very practical to use or store, but I love it. It gives me a special pleasure and when ironing you need what ever pleasure you can get.
